About Groodles
Combining the loyal, family friendly nature of the beautiful Golden Retriever and the Intelligence plus non shedding coat of the poodle has created (in our opinion!) the perfect pet with a wonderful temperament.
Groodles love the water and are happy to be washed.
They are relaxed, goofy and their coats are great for allergy sufferers! They love to chill with their families, and just want to be where you are.
They are sensitive dogs who can be trained as Assistance and Therapy Dogs with great success.
Groodles do need extra grooming, and do well with a clip a few times a year. There are some great grooming tools around to make it easy though.
Groodles come in 3 sizes:
MINI 35-45cm (shin height) and 7-15kg
MEDIUM 45-55cm (knee height) and 16-25kg
STANDARD 55-65cm (mid-thigh height) and 26-35kg

They come in 3 different coat types
Groodles coats can come in 3 types of fur – wool or curly, soft fleece, and smooth coated.
Wool or fleece coats usually don’t shed, but smooth coated groodles will usually have varying degrees of shedding, though much less than a normal shedding dog most of the time.
Groodles do need extra grooming and need clipping a few times a year. There are some great grooming tools around to make it easy to maintain their coats though. The curlier the coat, the more time is needed to look after them.
